Service Description
Who is this for? 3rd - 12th Graders who are ready for an introduction to productions. Students should be beginner to intermediate actors in skill and experience. A No Audition, Educational Class and Production HMAA continues its tradition of offering an educational based theater option for students. This class includes lessons in dramatic acting, improv, audition basics, theater finance, and a non-musical play production. The chosen play is TBD and will be based on the total number of enrolled students. Every student will be given lines to learn and recite for the play production. This class meets every Thursday at 11:00AM for 50-60 minutes. Show week is January 12-17 and attendance is mandatory. Rehearsals during the week of the show are Wednesday (5:30-6:30pm) and Thursday (11:00am-12:15pm). Dress rehearsal is Friday, January 16th (3:30pm until around 6) and show day is Saturday, January 17. We will perform 2 shows on Saturday (at 2pm and 6pm). This show will be the opening act for the Sr. drama company performance of The Somewhat True Tale of Robin Hood. Please do not commit to this class if you are not willing to attend every rehearsal the week of the show - These rehearsals are mandatory! This class is limited to 25 students. Class begins September 4th. Full refund before August 1st. No refunds August 1st or later. There will be no class on September 11th, November 27th (Thanksgiving), December 25th (Christmas), or January 1 (New Years Day) Harford Music and Arts has an absolutely zero tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior between students, parents, instructors, and directors.
