Service Description

Limited cast for grades 4-12, intended for intermediate to advanced actors. Limited to the first 25 registrations. This production rehearses every Thursday 12:00PM to 1:20PM. Extra rehearsals may be added based on cast availability. Show week is January 4-9 and attendance is mandatory. Rehearsals during the week of the show are Tuesday and Wednesday, January 5 & 6, 6-9pm, and Thursday, January 7th, 12pm-3pm. Dress rehearsal is Friday, Jan 8th (3:30pm until around 6) and show day is Saturday, Jan 10. We will perform 2 shows on Saturday (at 2pm and 6pm). All roles and parts will be by audition. There will be several audition dates/times throughout the winter. Please do not commit to this class if you are not willing to attend every rehearsal the week of the show - These rehearsals are mandatory! Even the ones that may go late in the evening. Class begins September 17th. Full refund before July 31st. No refunds August 1st or later. A group of actors, who have apparently been abandoned by their drama teacher, have to fend for themselves opening night in front of a live audience. In this hilarious metatheatrical comedy, a desperate Stage Manager and an overly confident Assistant Director (who has "never actually seen a play but has great ideas") attempt to cobble together a production using whatever scripts they can find backstage. What follows is a rollicking show full of physical comedy, gags, and satirical re-writings of many classic works, from Shakespeare to Thornton Wilder.
