Open Auditions

Service Description

In conjunction with Harford Music and Arts (a local production company), 85 Productions invites you to an open audition for vacant spots in our murder mystery comedy troupe. This audition is not for a specific role, but for future roles in and around central MD. All of the roles are paid roles through small rehearsal stipends (gas money - $10 per rehearsal), show stipends (sliding scale based on attendance $30 - $125 per show) and guaranteed gratuities (18% of total ticket cost divided equally among cast and servers). If selected, you will join our troupe and would be cast in future roles that fit your look, ability, and availability. Experience is a plus, but not necessary. All shows have heavy guest interactions which require some improv skills. There will be auditions 2-4 times per year, so if you miss this one, subscribe to our site and we will notify you of future auditions. Ages 18 and up For the audition: Applicable Resume (nothing formal needed - hand write it on a napkin if you want) Monologue (30-60 seconds) -memorized if possible Table Read and/or improv game with one of our existing cast members Plus we want to chat and get to know you.
