Service Description

Who is this for? 4th grade to 19 years of age (no exceptions) - All levels/experience welcome. Auditions for solos, if any, will happen during the course of the semester. Our show choir, Voices!, is a fun, community minded ensemble. We are an inclusive group where young vocalists learn, prepare, and perform several pieces of music throughout the season. Each student learns choir essentials through ensemble performance instruction, private/solo opportunities, sectional work, and intro to harmony singing. Most importantly we will all have a ton of fun while working really hard towards a series of performances, theme park visits, community events, and volunteer opportunities at senior homes/hospitals/etc. Music will include selections from pop, country, Disney, musical theater and more. All pieces are performed to a professionally produced music track. Our dress rehearsal and spring concert is scheduled for May 13th in the evening. There are two mandatory Wednesday evening 6-9pm rehearsals on April 23 and May 7. There will be no Thursday day time rehearsals during these two weeks. The aforementioned Wednesday night rehearsals, dress rehearsal, and concert require MANDATORY attendance. Please don't register for the ensemble if you are not willing to make your child available for those 3 dates. Rehearsals begin February 6th. Full refund on or before January 1st. No refunds after January 1st. Rehearsals will generally end at approximately 2:45pm where the last 15 are reserved for working with soloists or small ensembles. Registration closes on February 19th. There will be NO REHEARSAL on: Feb 26 (Matilda Show Week), Mar 6, May 1 (Merrily Show Week) Harford Music and Arts has an absolutely zero tolerance policy for disrespectful behavior between students, parents, instructors, and directors. Students or parents exhibiting these behaviors will be immediately dismissed from the production with no refund. Please always be kind!
