This musical is for grades 4-7, NO EXCEPTIONS AT ALL. Limited to the first 21 registrations. This is a one-act adaptation of the full musical. Rehearsals: Most Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00–8:30 PM, beginning January 11. Rehearsals will be limited during January, with specific dates and times to be announced. Full rehearsals will begin in February. Not all cast members will be called for every rehearsal. As the half-blood son of a Greek god, Percy Jackson has newly-discovered powers he can’t control, a destiny he doesn’t want, and a mythology textbook’s worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus”s master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him. Show week is April 5-11, and attendance is mandatory. Tuesday and Wednesday, April 6 and 7, will be extended rehearsals, 6-9pm. Dress rehearsal is Thursday, April 8th (3:30 or as early as you can get there until 9 or 10pm). Show days are April 9th-11th. We will perform one show on Friday (at 7pm), two shows on Saturday (at 2:30pm and 7pm), and one show on Sunday (at 2:30pm). All roles and parts will be by audition. There will be several audition dates/times throughout the winter. Please do not commit to this production if you are not willing to attend every rehearsal the week of the show - These rehearsals are mandatory! Full refund before November 30th.
